Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer/Vehicle Painter is essential.
  • Wide knowledge of paints, including water-based paints.
  • Time served and/or qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ level 2.

  • Carry out all paint spraying work efficiently on a full range of vehicles.
  • Ensure correct preparation and maintenance of equipment.

An average day as a Bodyshop Paint Technician …
  • You will have the ability to carry out all paint spraying work efficiently, on a full range of vehicles.
  • Ensure the correct preparation is carried out for each vehicle, following process to use the correct paint for each job.
  • Ensure that all equipment used is well maintained and cleaned, including storing paints in the correct conditions.
  • Managing inventory of various paints and equipment.
  • Communicate with colleagues and work effectively as a team.
  • Manage your workload to ensure you can complete each vehicle efficiently to match customer demand.
About You…
  • Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer/ Vehicle Painter is essential.
  • You will have a wide knowledge of paints, including knowledge of using water-based paints and mixing paint to ensure a perfect match.
  • Time served and/or qualified to city & guilds or NVQ level 2
  • You will have strong time management and organisational skills.
  • ATA is advantageous but not essential.
  • You will have a working knowledge of Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • We want you to love what you do – The rest will come naturally.
