Job summary

CDH Recruitment Limited is actively recruiting a Paint Sprayer for their Eastbourne client. You will join a busy body shop team focused on delivering high-quality vehicle finishes and efficient turnaround times.

You will prep panels, mix paints to spec, apply primers and topcoats, perform SMART repairs, and ensure safety and cleanliness in the spray booth. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a competitive salary from £36,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles and panels for painting by sanding, masking, filling, priming and preparing surfaces.
• Mix and match paint colours accurately to manufacturer specifications and repair requirements.
• Apply primers, basecoats and clear coats using spray-painting equipment to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Carry out SMART repairs and full vehicle resprays as required.
• Inspect repaired and painted surfaces to ensure work meets quality standards.
• Rectify paint defects including runs, dust contamination, orange peel and colour mismatches.
• Maintain spray booths, paint equipment and tools in a clean and safe working condition.
• Follow health and safety regulations, including proper PPE use and handling of hazardous substances.
• Work closely with workshop staff to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround times.
• Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales while maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Manage paint and consumable stock levels and report shortages when necessary.
• Carry out final quality checks before vehicles are released to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment at all times.
• Support colleagues and assist with other bodyshop duties as required.
