Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Dunstable is seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer to refinishing accident-damaged vehicles to a flawless standard, returning them to pre-accident appearance using approved methods and paint systems.

The role requires experience in vehicle refinishes, waterborne paints, and precise colour matching. You will work Monday to Friday (45 hours), with weekends off, in a professional bodyshop environment. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Paint Sprayer in an accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
• Proficiency with waterborne paint systems and colour matching.
• Strong eye for detail and pride in a high-quality finish.
• Good understanding of safe working practices in a spray booth.
• Reliable, organized, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint, including masking and surface checks.
• Mix paint and achieve accurate colour matches, tinting and blending as needed.
• Apply primers, base coats and clear coats to high standards.
• Blend repairs into adjacent panels for an invisible finish.
• Carry out polishing and rectification to remove defects.
• Follow manufacturer repair methods and paint system procedures.
• Work safely in the spray booth with proper PPE and health & safety practices.
• Collaborate with Panel and MET Technicians to keep repairs on schedule.
