Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) in Taplow is seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer/Technician for a permanent role, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm, offering a life-friendly work week. You will refinish accident-damaged vehicles to a high standard using manufacturer-approved paint systems, with emphasis on colour matching and blending for a flawless finish.

Ideal candidates have an apprenticeship or Level 3 in Vehicle Accident Repair Paint, experience with waterborne paints, and a meticulous eye for

Qualifications

• Experience as a Paint Sprayer in a Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
• Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Accident Repair Paint.
• Proficient with waterborne paint systems and colour matching.
• Keen eye for detail and a pride in high-quality finishes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint including masking and surface checks.
• Mix paint and achieve accurate colour matches with tinting/blending.
• Apply primers, base coats and clear coats to a high standard.
• Blend repairs into adjacent panels for an invisible finish.
• Carry out polishing/rectification to remove defects.
• Follow manufacturer repair methods and paint system procedures.
• Work safely in the spray booth and use PPE correctly.
• Collaborate with Panel and MET Technicians to keep repairs on schedule.
