A leading railway company in the UK is offering an apprenticeship for a Paint Spray and Bodywork Technician. The role involves maintaining the appearance of trains, receiving practical experience at Bournemouth and academic training in vehicle body and paint. Candidates must have GCSEs in maths, English, and science, and be adaptable, detail-oriented, and willing to embrace inclusivity in the workplace.

Your main responsibilities will be:
As a Paint Spray and Bodywork Apprentice, you'll play a key role in maintaining the appearance of our trains to the high standards our customers expect. You'll need to be practical, detail-oriented, and have good hand-eye coordination.

About the location
Bournemouth Depot is home to a number of South Western Railway's fleet. The engineering team at the depot are currently responsible for numerous projects such as the major component overhaul work on the 159 fleet, the Desiro repaint on the class 444's and 450's and the latest modification project on our exciting new Arterio fleet that is set to transform travel on our suburban routes by offering customers much faster and more reliable journeys!
