Job description

Vehicle Paint Sprayer - Ross-on-Wye

Our client, a large automotive accident repair centre in the Ross-on-Wye region, is currently seeking an experienced and professional Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join their busy bodyshop.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Up to £16 per hour (negotiable based on experience and current earnings).
  • Performance-related time save bonus scheme (discussed upon application).
  • Overtime paid at standard rate, subject to availability.
  • 20 days annual holiday plus bank holidays.

Working Hours:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times.

Responsibilities:

  1. Fulfill all tasks to customer’s complete satisfaction.
  2. Complete assigned jobs within estimated paint times.
  3. Safeguard the customer’s vehicle and contents while in the bodyshop.
  4. Ensure vehicles meet safety standards upon return to the customer.
  5. Carry out repairs following best practices and procedures.
  6. Meet safety and quality standards.
  7. Interpret and implement technical instruction data.
  8. Use paint mixing schemes, drying areas, and equipment accurately.
  9. Seek clarification from the Bodyshop Manager if work instructions are unclear or seem incorrect.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fully qualified Vehicle Panel Sprayer to IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, or demonstrable experience in vehicle paint spraying without formal qualifications.
  • UK driving licence with minimal points.
  • Strong workmanship and motivation to work towards team targets.
  • Experience working to PAS 125 standards or with ATA accreditation is advantageous but not essential.
