The Paint Sprayer will be responsible for the preparation and high-quality spray-painting of trains and trams in accordance with CAF's standards and special process requirements. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment.

Functions and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Paint Application: Perform high-quality spray painting on various rail vehicle components and surfaces.Prepare surfaces for painting including sanding, masking, and cleaning.
  • Mix and apply paints, coatings, and finishes according to manufacturer specifications and CAF standards.Process Compliance:Follow established painting procedures and comply with CAF’s special process requirements.Adhere strictly to quality control processes with a right first time approach, ensuring a defect-free finish.Use of our quality system (Cheli) to close points.
  • Workplace Organisation: Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain). Handle paint tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
Functions and Responsibility
  • Health and Safety - Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times. Report any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Be involved in continuous improvement initiatives to improve the painting process, reduce material waste, and enhance overall efficiency. This includes engaging in problem-solving using techniques such as the 5 Whys and Fishbone (root cause analysis) to identify and resolve issues.
Required professional experience

Relevant experience of industrial paint spraying experience (automotive, aerospace, rail, or similar). Essential
