Job Title: Paint Sprayer

Location: Tameside

Salary: 13.00 per hour (first 3 months), 13.50 per hour thereafter

Job Type: Full-time (early shift)

We are working with high-quality, niche manufacturing company specialising in MDF and timber products. The business is dedicated to maintaining tight lead times and delivering perfection in every project and are now looking for a paint sprayer with experience of working with wood to join them in their period of growth

This role involves prepping and spraying wood and MDF kitchen components

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work in a fast-paced manual environment, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Conduct accurate quality checks on parts before and after painting.
  • Prepare parts for spraying, including thorough cleaning and sanding.
  • Apply PU paint to kitchen components, ensuring even coverage and finish.
  • Mix paints according to specifications to achieve desired colours and consistencies.
  • Perform quality control checks during and after the spraying process to ensure the finish meets the required standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly spray booth area, including changing filters and general upkeep.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in the workplace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in wood finishing and operating in a spray shop environment.
  • Familiarity with PU paint and its application.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions and adapt to changes in product lines.
  • Educated to at least GCSE standard.
