Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Loughborough is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer for an immediate start. This temporary role offers a pay rate of up to £16.80 p/h and can potentially lead to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have experience spraying large-scale metal items and a strong understanding of paint specifications. Responsibilities include reporting to the fabrication supervisor and ensuring high-quality finishes on large panels.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in spraying large scale metal items, ideally similar to large steel containers.
  • Familiar with correct storage, use, and disposal of hazardous substances.
  • Willingness to undertake overtime hours as required.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the fabrication Supervisor.
  • Spray large panels and large units made from structural steel.
  • Clean and seal items prior to spraying.

Skills

Experience in spraying large scale metal items
Understanding of COSHH and paint data sheets
Ability to Quality check before and after spray
Ability to attain a high quality finish
Experience with filling in necessary spray booth paperwork

Our client is looking for an experienced Paint Sprayer to join their expanding team.

Afternoon shift - 14.00 - 00.00

JOB PURPOSE

To report to the fabrication Supervisor

To spray Large panels
To clean and seal of large units made from structural steel.

Ability to use hand-held power tools

THE Wet Paint Sprayer

CANDIDATE:

Experience in spraying large scale metal items. Ideally similar to the large steel containers we produce.
Understanding of COSHH and paint data sheets.
Good knowledge of paint specs and mixing ratios – hardeners, thinners etc
Ability to Quality check before and after spray
Ability to attain a high quality finish using our air assisted spray system with the possibility of occasionally switching to an airless system.
Quality is paramount our company would expect no runs/bleeds/flat spots/light spots
Experience with filling in necessary spray booth paperwork, as well as technical sheets for the items being sprayed. – DFT’s, temp checks,
humidity checks, QA sign-off’s etc..
To be able to do overtime hours should projects require the extra time and effort.
To follow company policies and procedures in terms of hours, breaks, behaviours etc
To follow company policy and Health & Safety including correct PPE.
Ideally familiar with correct storage, use and disposal of hazardous substances.
