Job Title: Paint Shop Supervisor
EDGE INNOVATE is currently recruiting for a Paint Shop Supervisor to join our busy paint shop. The successful candidate will manage the paint shop to ensure a cost-effective and efficient manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Delivery
- Supervise daily operations of the paint shop team.
- Advise and guide on all paint shop operations including blasting, prepping, painting, and repairs.
- Coach and mentor staff to develop skills.
- Estimate times, staffing, and costs to optimize production.
- Improve manufacturing methods with regard to health, safety, and quality standards.
- Plan workspace utilization.
- Perform quality checks before and after jobs.
- Minimize re-work requirements.
- Coordinate with the fitting shop and meet production targets.
- Report progress to the Production Manager.
- liaise regarding capabilities and schedules.
- Monitor performance and establish standard production rates.
- Streamline purchasing processes to reduce costs.
Performance Improvement- Apply the company’s performance management system consistently.
- Support staff in setting and achieving KPIs.
- Maintain high personal and team performance standards.
Financial and Resource Management- Ensure the paint shop operates efficiently and meets financial targets.
- Innovate to improve services and processes.
People Management- Provide leadership to ensure high-quality service.
- Promote teamwork and continuous improvement.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- Degree qualification with 2-3 years supervisory experience in a similar industry.
- Hands-on painting experience with heavy machinery.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience managing a paint shop and stakeholder advising.
- Management/Leadership qualification.
