Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a skilled Paint Prepper in Marlow. The role involves preparing components for painting, inspecting surfaces, and applying primers to ensure high-quality finishes.

You will work Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30 and Friday 08:00-12:30, enjoying an early finish each week. A competitive package and long-term career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Prepper or Paint Prepper.
• Experience preparing metal, composite, or automotive components.
• Strong knowledge of sanding, masking, filling, and surface preparation techniques.
• Ability to follow work instructions and technical specifications.

The Role

As a Prepper, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing components and products for painting, including sanding, filling, masking, and cleaning
• Inspecting surfaces and identifying defects that require rectification
• Applying primers and preparing materials ahead of the paint process
• Using hand and power tools to achieve the required finish standards
• Ensuring parts are correctly masked and protected before painting

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Prepper, Paint Prepper, Surface Finisher, or within a similar manufacturing environment
• Experience preparing metal, composite, or automotive components for painting
• Strong knowledge of sanding, masking, filling, and surface preparation techniques
• The ability to follow work instructions and technical specifications
