Jaguar Land Rover Castle Bromwich is seeking a Paint Launch Engineer for Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) to lead the launch and industrialisation of new paint colours and finishes, guiding projects from development to production readiness.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality and Launch teams, manage documentation, drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety standards, delivering high-quality, exclusive finishes.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing Engineering experience within automotive or complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of paint processes, production operations, and programme launch activities.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and root-cause investigation skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
• Experience driving continuous improvement activities that enhance quality, efficiency, or operational performance.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the launch and industrialisation of new Model Year and Limited Edition paint colours, ensuring a smooth transition from development through to Job 1.
• Drive programme delivery activities, including launch readiness reviews, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement across the business.
• Produce and maintain production readiness documentation and evidence packs to support successful handover into Manufacturing Operations.
• Investigate and resolve paint-related manufacturing and quality concerns, utilising root-cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Support the introduction of new paint technologies, manufacturing processes, and production methods to enhance operational performance.
• Assist with the specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of paint shop tooling, equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
• Partner closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Launch teams to ensure capacity planning, operational readiness, and compliance with Health & Safety standards.
