Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is recruiting a Pain Management Consultant for a private insourcing client in Birmingham. The role does not require on-call duties and offers potential for some long days and occasional weekend work, with locum continuity through Oct 2026.

You will perform injections and radiofrequency procedures, manage outpatient clinics, assess and plan treatment, and conduct follow-ups either virtually or face-to-face, depending on clinical need.

Qualifications

• FRCA and FFPMRCA qualifications.
• CCT or CESR equivalent approved by PM&R.

Responsibilities

• Manage all-day procedure list including injections (30-min slots) and radiofrequency treatments (60-min slots).
• Oversee outpatient clinics with assessment and treatment planning and discharge when appropriate.
• Conduct post-procedure follow-ups virtually or face-to-face as clinically needed.
• Pain procedures accommodate up to 16–20 patients per full day depending on procedure type.
• Outpatient clinics manage 16–24 patients per full day with allocated times for new and follow-up appointments.
