Job Title: Paid Media Events Specialist

Location: London, UK (Remote)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Introduction to Team

The client is seeking a Paid Media Events Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute, shape, and oversee paid media campaigns for key firm events, driving impactful campaign outputs. You will be part of the McKinsey's Paid Media Center of Excellence (COE), which plays a pivotal role in overseeing paid media strategy and campaign execution for global teams on platforms like LinkedIn, paid search, display advertising, print, and video. The team collaborates closely with publisher partners, event organizers, communications teams, and creative teams to ensure that our events deliver measurable results that align with McKinsey's global standards of excellence.

Role Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align paid media strategies with event goals, create campaign workback plans, and oversee paid media asset creative timelines.

Develop paid media plans tailored to marquee events and a mix of overseeing media agencies to execute end-to-end campaign management and running of certain campaigns in-platform.

Analyze campaign performance data and generate actionable insights to improve future strategies, including preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate campaign performance and recommendations to stakeholders.

Skills
Mandatory Skills
  • 2-3 years of strong project management skills, with ability to liaise between brand marketing and communications teams for content development and digital promotion plans.
  • 2-3 years of experience building ads and campaigns on channels like LinkedIn are a must.
  • Strong sense of deadlines, with ability to create and adhere to a standard workback plan for paid media campaign launches.
  • Strong communication capabilities to coordinate needs between internal stakeholders, as well as managing final deliverable hand-off and post-event reporting needs with the media agency.
  • Strong understanding of paid media channels (i.e., paid social, direct buys) and different tactics used for event promotions, with a strong desire to learn more about paid media strategy by working closely with the McKinsey paid media COE team.
  • Proactive mindset to identify problems as they arise, escalate to the paid media COE accordingly, and recommend effective solutions.
Desirable Skills
  • 1-2 years of project management or paid media experience in an agency setting
  • 1-2 years of field marketing or event marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Google Tag Manager and Adobe Analytics
