The Role

Paid Media Account Manager

The Paid Media Account Manager is a skilled and seasoned professional in PPC, possessing strong capabilities in Paid Social and ideally expertise in at least one additional Paid Media channel (such as Shopping, Display, Mobile/App Promotion, or Native). This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of how different channels interact and enhance each other, as well as the technical know-how to implement high-performing Paid campaigns.

Reporting to the Head of Biddable within the department, the Account Manager plays a vital role in shaping the overall strategy, growth, and scope of the ROAST services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their business, digital requirements, and priorities.
  • Partner with the Head of Biddable to ensure that all accounts are equipped with a robust performance strategy.
  • Coordinate with Client Services and PPC Directors to develop a sound commercial strategy for all accounts.
  • Engage with suppliers to keep the team updated on industry advancements, and where appropriate, test new strategies for our clients.
  • Work in conjunction with wider business teams to create effective full-funnel marketing strategies.
  • Guarantee that all activities meet or surpass performance benchmarks.
  • Oversee budgets in accordance with strategy and make sure monthly expenditure aligns with targets.

Delivery & Line Management

  • Provide direct line management to junior members of the Paid Media Department, ensuring that work is delivered to a high standard, on schedule, and within targets.
  • Facilitate the training and development of junior team members to meet the performance expectations set by ROAST and our clients.
  • Conduct quality control on work completed by junior team members.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients through status updates, as well as monthly and quarterly reviews.

Departmental Development

Collaborate with the Departmental Head on various tasks to enhance the scope, capabilities, and quality of the ROAST service offerings, which include:

  • Recruitment
  • Training initiatives
  • Preparation for and participation in new business opportunities
  • Establishing relationships with media suppliers
  • Implementing technology and automation solutions
  • Creating marketing materials such as case studies and blog posts

Requirements

The Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in PPC delivery (if in a mixed channel role, at least 70% of the time should be focused on PPC).

A successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in:

  • delivering projects and results for clients with monthly budgets of £50,000+
  • achieving business targets (sales and revenue volume, CPA, ROI, ROAS)
  • developing junior team members
  • leading 3rd party bid management tools
  • leading onsite analytics packages
  • bringing efficiency to client activity in terms of both performance and resource levels
  • experience of executing campaigns within other Paid Media channels beneficial. (Training will be provided if not as eventually the role will encompass this responsibility)

Skills

  • Strong understanding of wider digital channels and environment
  • Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to independently research news stories, industry developments or opportunities and relay these to the wider business
  • Highly organised with an acute attention to detail
  • Exceptional level of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, including use and creation of Excel formulae and macros
  • Capabilities with Google Ads scripts or Java beneficial
  • Additional language capabilities beneficials
