Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust’s Basildon Hospital is seeking a Paediatric Therapy Assistant to work part-time within the Children’s Therapy Team. You will support Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in clinics and on wards, delivering treatment programmes and assisting with hydrotherapy sessions.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent education completed.
• Experience in an acute healthcare setting with children.
• Familiarity with equipment used by physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
• Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists in clinics and on wards as part of the therapy team.
• Contribute to treatment programmes and hydrotherapy sessions.
• Undertake general departmental duties and assist with administrative tasks.
• Work with patients individually and in groups to support therapy goals.
