Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse / ODP to support care across Theatres and Recovery, contributing to the patient journey and maintaining excellent paediatric care. You will join a friendly, supportive multidisciplinary team, with an Education Team to help you settle into an exciting and challenging role.

As a Band 5, you don’t need previous recovery experience; you will work at the forefront of paediatric surgery, in a hospital renowned for innovation and world‑class care.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC registered ODP.
• Relevant nursing/ODP qualification.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development linked to demonstrable competencies.
• Experience with acute/chronically sick children.
• Understanding safeguarding, governance and audit practices.

Responsibilities

• Care for paediatric patients in theatres and recovery.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team delivering safe, person-centred care.
• Support education and training within the team.
