We have an exciting opportunity for Band 5 Paediatric Nurses to join our Children's Emergency Departments at Epsom .
Our team provide 24 hour paediatric emergency care in our dedicated Paediatric Emergency Department. We provide care for children with acute and urgent physical and mental health needs, as well as complex and long term conditions.
The teams include dedicated paediatric advanced care practitioners, and are supported by the Trust Paediatric Nursing and Medical Teams, as well as our Emergency Department colleagues. There are opportunities for professional development which includes access to our Trust wide paediatric simulation courses.
Paediatric services at Epsom General Hospital include our acute paediatric ward, medical day units and children’s outpatients. We also host a Level 1 Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Service at Epsom and have a dedicated paediatric psychiatric liaison service. We also have over 25 paediatric specialist nurses, two community children’s nurses and a specialist children’s safeguarding teams. Therefore there are opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills in a range of areas, to complement your emergency nursing skills.
Paed ED now has its own new dedicated Practice Educator for Paediatric ED alone. This will support existing and new nurses in the department and help with learning new skills necessary in Paed ED
