North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Paediatric Staff Nurse, Band 5, at West Cumberland Hospital. This vacancy offers the opportunity to be part of a growing, vibrant paediatric team, providing effective healthcare to the people of north Cumbria.

The successful candidate will assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care, providing prescribed nursing care without supervision. The candidate should have experience working as a student nurse or in paediatric nursing within the NHS or equivalent.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job include:

• Assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care
• Contributing to the development and evaluation of nursing practice within the department and ward area
• Providing nursing care in accordance with local policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Complying with the NMC code of professional conduct

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Registered Nurse child with active NMC registration or working towards
• Experience as a student nurse or in general nursing within the NHS or equivalent
• Experience in emergency care paediatric nursing
