Job summary

NHS Grampian's Dr Grays Hospital Paediatric Ward is seeking motivated Band 5 registered nurses with a strong clinical background and an interest in educating the workforce. The post offers part-time hours (18.3 and 13 hours per week) in a dynamic, forward-thinking team, with opportunities for learning and development within a diverse paediatric caseload.

You will join a ward with 8 beds, handling medical, surgical and day-case patients, and may support transfers to specialised units as required.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current NMC registration and Band 5 status.
• Interest in educating the workforce and supporting junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality paediatric care within the Ward (8 beds) for medical, surgical and day-case patients.
• Support staff development and education, participate in shift work including Sundays.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Paediatric ward at Dr Grays Hospital for motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 registered nurses with a strong clinical background and an interest in educating the workforce to join our dynamic forward thinking team. The hours are part time 18.3 & 13 hours per week.

The Paediatric ward is an 8 bedded Ward seeing a variety of specialities including Medical, Surgical and Day case patients with the potential for acutely unwell children to be transferred to specialised units, offering fantastic learning and development opportunities. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.

Elgin, and the surrounding Moray County is a popular area to live in, with good transport links to Aberdeen and Inverness.

This post involves shift work Sunday to Monday 365 days a year.
