Job summary

Kirsop-Taylor Healthcare Ltd is recruiting a paediatric speech and language therapist for its multidisciplinary team. The post centres on assessing children and young people with complex communication needs and running tailored therapy programmes alongside families and education staff.

Work spans schools, community settings and homes. Current HCPC registration and experience of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) are needed; applicants should have significant post-qualification

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in speech and language therapy
• Current HCPC registration
• Significant post-qualification experience with children with complex speech, language and communication needs
• Experience with AAC and Total Communication approaches
• Experience with SEND including autism or ADHD

Responsibilities

• Assess children and young people with complex speech, language and communication needs
• Plan and deliver bespoke therapy programmes
• Work with families, education staff and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes
