Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join a mainstream school with an ASD base in South London. The role offers a flexible split post across mainstream and ASD provisions, or a 3-day-per-week arrangement within the mainstream school.

The successful candidate will support children with ASC and SLCN, collaborating with school staff and families to achieve communication and learning goals. Dysphagia experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Experience working with children with ASC and SLCN, ideally within school-based settings.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs in mainstream and ASD school settings.
  • Deliver individualised, evidence-based therapy interventions to support communication, learning, and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, parents/carers, and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to EHCPs, reviews, and progress reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
