Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist to support children in mainstream schools across Westminster and Chelsea. Based at The Medical Centre, Woodfield Road, you will deliver high-quality assessments and interventions in collaboration with schools.

The role adopts a whole-systems approach, including EHCNAs and statutory duties, with a Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00 schedule. Initial 3‑month contract, ASAP start.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working in mainstream schools.
  • Ability to complete EHCNAs and EHCP-based provision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and intervention for children in mainstream school settings.
  • Deliver therapy and support in line with EHCP-provision.
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, families, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Job Overview

Pulse is now recruiting an experienced Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist to join Central London Community Healthcare’s Inner North West Division. This role is based at The Medical Centre, Woodfield Road, with clinical work delivered across mainstream schools in Westminster and Chelsea.

This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist with strong educational experience to support children and young people through high‑quality assessment, intervention, and statutory work. The service follows a whole systems approach, and the successful clinician will play a key role in supporting communication needs across school environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and intervention for children in mainstream school settings
    Complete Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs)
    Deliver therapy and support in line with EHCP‑specified provision
    Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, families, and wider professionals
    Apply a whole systems approach to support communication needs across school communities
    Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements

  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree (or equivalent)
    HCPC registration (required)
    Experience working in mainstream schools
    Competence in completing EHCNAs and delivering EHCP-based provision
    Understanding of the whole systems approach
    Strong communication and organisational skills
    Car driver not required
