Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist for Taunton. This permanent Band 6 post welcomes experienced Band 5 applicants ready to progress, with an emphasis on Learning Disabilities and/or Dysphagia.

You will join a supportive Children and Young People’s Therapy Service, managing a specialist caseload in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to service development and professional growth.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration or eligible for registration with the HCPC.
• Experience with paediatric caseload and complex communication needs.
• Willingness to progress from Band 5 to Band 6, with Leadership/MDT involvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist paediatric caseload of children with complex communication needs.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in the Children and Young People’s Therapy Service.
• Support service development, supervision and professional development activities.
