Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for Band 6 Paediatric Senior Staff Nurses to join our Children's Emergency Departments at Epsom.
Our team provides 24-hour paediatric emergency care in our dedicated Paediatric Emergency Department, caring for children with acute and urgent physical and mental health needs, as well as complex and long-term conditions.
The teams include dedicated paediatric advanced care practitioners and are supported by the Trust Paediatric Nursing and Medical Teams, as well as our Emergency Department colleagues. There are opportunities for professional development, including access to Trust-wide paediatric simulation courses.
Paediatric services at Epsom General Hospital include our acute paediatric ward, medical day units, children’s outpatients, and a Level 1 Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Service. We also have a dedicated paediatric psychiatric liaison service, over 25 paediatric specialist nurses, two community children’s nurses, and a specialist children’s safeguarding team, offering opportunities to develop your skills in various areas alongside emergency nursing.
Paed ED now has its own new dedicated Practice Educator for Paediatric ED to support existing and new nurses in acquiring necessary skills.
