Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced respiratory paediatric physiotherapist to join our Paediatric Therapy Team, providing respiratory care to non-admitted patients in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. The role involves managing outpatient respiratory caseloads and supporting respiratory specialties through clinics and MDTs. This position is part of our outpatient group, which includes MSK, Rheumatology, CEW, CF, Difficult Asthma, and PCD, fostering collaboration and staff development.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, highly experienced, and committed to patient-centered care, maintaining their CPD and specialist skills, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. You will develop and evaluate your role to ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary team.

Main Duties
  • Provide paediatric respiratory outpatient physiotherapy and support the team leader in managing the waiting list.
  • Assess and treat a complex caseload of children (0-15 years, or 18 years with special needs) using advanced clinical decision-making skills.
  • Experience in respiratory disorder assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation is essential.
  • Work across UHL sites and other locations within the LLR system, including travel between sites.
