Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting for Ward 3C Renal, a paediatric inpatient unit in Glasgow. The post offers full-time or part-time hours on a fixed-term contract (6 or 12 months) with day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays as part of a rotating pattern.

Applicants must hold a live NMC pin and demonstrate strong interpersonal, documentation and teamwork skills to deliver high-quality paediatric care within a supportive MDT environment.

Qualifications

• Live NMC pin is required to be considered.
• Essential paediatric care and nursing knowledge.
• Good IT and clinical documentation skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care plans with the MDT.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Deliver high standards of nursing care and maintain patient records.
• Contribute to program development and advise junior staff on complex cases.
• Delegate tasks considering staff capabilities and skill mix.
• Ensure care is patient- and family-centered.
