Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Paediatric Physiotherapist to deliver specialist services to children and young people across Somerset, within the Children and Young People’s Therapy Service. You will assess, diagnose and treat to support mobility, independence and participation, involving families in goal setting and care planning, and collaborating with schools and communities.

The post requires HCPC registration, a degree in Physiotherapy, and experience working with

Qualifications

Recognised degree in Physiotherapy.
HCPC registration is essential.
Experience working with children is essential.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to multidisciplinary working and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Deliver specialist physiotherapy services to children and young people.
Assess physical, sensory and functional needs; formulate clinical diagnoses.
Provide interventions to support mobility, independence and participation.
Involve children, young people and families in goal setting and care planning.
Collaborate with schools, nurseries, healthcare colleagues and external agencies.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and monitor outcomes.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement and research activities.
