Job summary

Children's Hospices Across Scotland is seeking a CHAS at Home Specialist Nurse to deliver expert paediatric palliative care to babies, children and young people and their families. The role combines clinical practice with leadership, education and service development, within a multidisciplinary team.

The post is based at Rachel House, Kinross, with a temporary relocation to Cardenden for 12–18 months from summer 2026. A driving licence and PVG check are required.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with a strong commitment to child and family-centred care.
• Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
• Post-registration experience in paediatric palliative care.
• Ability to work autonomously while valuing teamwork.

• Excellent clinical judgement in complex, changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist paediatric palliative care to children with life-shortening conditions and families.
• Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to deliver clinical care.
• Coordinate complex support packages and advise across health, social care and third-sector partners.
• Contribute to leadership, education and service development.
