Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is assisting a Specialist Multi Academy Trust in Hampshire to recruit a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist. You will join a multidisciplinary team to support children and young people aged 4-19 with ASC and SEMH needs across several specialist education sites.

The role offers flexible hours (PT/FT, 39 weeks) and NHS-style progression. HCPC registration and RCOT membership are required, with a focus on evidence-based, outcome-driven practice and providing staff training.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
• RCOT membership required
• Experience with ASC and SEMH in children and young people
• Strong focus on evidence-based, functional, outcome-driven practice
• Experience delivering training and working in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for ASC/SEMH pupils
• Develop and deliver outcome-focused therapy programmes to promote independence and wellbeing
• Establish and enhance OT provision across multiple education sites
• Embed therapeutic strategies within curriculum and school environment
• Deliver training and professional development to staff
• Collaborate with teachers, families and other professionals to provide holistic support
• Provide clinical leadership and contribute to service development
