Job description

Paediatric Occupational Therapist - Band 6

Term-time only - 30 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work at Perseid Special Schools.

The post holder will provide a specialist occupational therapy service for children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties in Perseid Special Schools, in accordance with the Service Level Agreement for Sutton Health and Care Alliance.

They will contribute to the development of the occupational therapy service for children and young people in the special schools. Responsibilities include planning and providing specialist occupational therapy assessments, advice, and treatments to a defined caseload of children and young people with severe and complex needs.

The post involves working in partnership with children, young people, their families, and other professionals, including school staff and the wider health team, to mitigate the impact of difficulties on social and emotional development, learning, and daily participation.

The role requires working autonomously and being accountable for one's own actions.
