Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Community Paediatric OT Team at Amersham Hospital. You will deliver universal to specialist interventions for children with SEND, manage your own caseload, and work closely with other therapists, education staff, and families to support development and participation in daily activities.

You’ll lead on training, supervise students and therapy assistants, and contribute to service development

Qualifications

• RCOT registration is required.
• Recognised OT degree or equivalent.
• HCPC Licence to Practice.
• CPD and continuing professional development evidence.
• Clinical experience in a range of settings.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Experience delivering intervention/advice in person.
• Desirable: good presentation skills.
• Desirable: experience supervising others.

Responsibilities

• Manage own complex caseload of children and young people.
• Provide assessments and interventions with specialist clinical skills.
• Coach families, education staff, and other professionals.
• Lead on training team members and supervise students.
• Contribute to service development and multi‑agency projects.
• Balance clinical duties with non‑clinical responsibilities and training.
