Job description

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join their dedicated team.

The successful candidate will work within a supportive team, providing opportunities to develop skills in Paediatric Occupational Therapy. The team has a strong interdisciplinary ethos, working jointly with colleagues, children, and their families.

Main duties of the job

The Paediatric Occupational Therapist will assess and treat children aged 0-18 years with a range of conditions, including neurodevelopmental and functional co-ordination disorders. The role will involve treating children and young people at therapy centers, schools, and in their homes.

A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use are required; however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals.

Job responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the job include:

  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide an integrated community children and young people's healthcare service.
  • Managing a personal caseload and using therapeutic assessment and treatment techniques.
  • Providing training for parents, carers, education, and social care staff.
  • Working effectively as part of a team and independently with support from senior clinicians.

The salary for this role is £31,049 to £37,796 per annum (pro rata for part-time). Please note that applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check, and costs will be deducted from salary following appointment.
