What you will do:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify sensory, motor, and functional difficulties in children with SEN, and develop personalised therapy plans.
  2. Provide engaging one-on-one and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to enhance fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  3. Collaborate actively with parents, carers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to integrate therapy into daily routines and educational settings.
  4. Maintain accurate records and prepare insightful reports for EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans), contributing effectively to multidisciplinary meetings.
  5. Offer training to school staff and parents on innovative strategies to support children's occupational therapy needs.
  6. Ensure all interventions are in line with safeguarding policies and professional regulations, preserving a safe environment for all.

Requirements:

  1. An HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a passion for paediatrics.
  2. Deep knowledge of sensory integration, fine and gross motor skill development, and assistive technology.
  3. Experience working within schools, clinics, or community settings with SEN children.
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to liaise effectively with families and professionals.
  5. Familiarity with EHCP processes and experience contributing to multi-agency planning.
