Job summary

Pulse Nursing at Home is seeking a registered paediatric nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred care to an 8-year-old client in the family home. You will deliver personal care, administer medications and manage complex clinical interventions specific to the child’s needs.

Shifts are Monday–Thursday nights, 6:30pm–7:30am, with additional training and professional development available. This role requires NMC registration and a caring, professional approach.

Qualifications

• 6 months nursing experience within the last 2 years (UK based).
• Actively registered on the NMC.
• Experience with personal care, medication and manual handling.
• Comfortable working in a 1:1 setting.
• Willing to learn new skills and undertake complex care training.
• Ability to provide high-quality care with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with moving and handling.
• Administer medications and manage clinical interventions (including TPN, infusion pump, IV drug administration, PEG-J).
• Deliver care in the client’s home and enrich quality of life through community interaction and goals.

Pay rates: £32.57 per hour (including holiday pay)

We support people living with a wide range of complex conditions, helping them stay safe, independent and connected to their communities. Our healthcare assistants/support workers deliver highly bespoke care shaped around the individual needs, goals and aspirations.

As a registered paediatric nurse, you will be providing high quality, person-centered care to our clients in the comfort of their own home. On shift, you will be expected to provide personal care, assist with moving and handling and support with any clinical interventions specific to our client. Alongside, you will be expected to enrich their quality of life via community interaction and support in achieving their goals/aspirations.

About the role

In this role, you will be supporting our 8-year-old male client within his family home, who is living with several complex care needs including duodenal atresia and ultrashort bowel syndrome. On shift you will be providing personal care, administering medications and managing our clients’ clinical interventions which include TPN, use of infusion pump, intravenous drug administration and care and use of PEG-J (in-house training will be provided if required).

Role Requirements
