Job summary
Our Nurses are real life health care heroes, and we are seeking compassionate people with experience of working in a hospital environment to join our integrated trust.
This opportunity is for qualified paediatric nurses that are Registered Sick Children's Nurses to join our emergency department, based at Musgrove Park in Taunton.
Alongside joining the ED team, we are proud to offer an opportunity to undergo a rotation with our Paediatric Units here at Musgrove.
As a fully integrated trust, we can offer a collaborative approach to your career with us, meaning if you so choose, there would be opportunities to rotate across all sites and directorates to ensure your skills and knowledge are as broad as they possibly can be. We value our RSCNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include nights and weekends. We have full time and part time hours available.
You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties of the jobAs a Paediatric Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will:
Provide high-quality care to paediatric patients in emergency situations.
Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care for children of all ages.
Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, healthcare assistants, and specialists.
Ensure family-centered care is provided and offer emotional support to parents and guardians.
Participate in the assessment and management of acutely ill and injured children.
Be part of a supportive, professional, and passionate team committed to delivering the best outcomes for paediatric patients.
Contribute to continuous improvement and participate in clinical audits and training.
