Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in East Sussex is seeking registered paediatric nurses to join their dynamic team. The post involves rotation between the Paediatric Emergency Department and the paediatric inpatient ward and short stay area.

You will be welcomed as a newly qualified or experienced nurse, with comprehensive induction, preceptorship, and opportunities to develop clinical and teaching skills within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration.
• Diploma or degree level qualification relevant to paediatric care.
• Postgraduate qualification relevant to role.
• Evidence of mandatory training skills (e.g., Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire).
• Ability to supervise learners and support clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement patient care with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Deliver safe and effective care within professional knowledge and area of responsibility.
• Assess patient needs and provide care, advice or guidance.
• Contribute to clinical governance and management of service/specialty.
• Provide clinical supervision, education and training to staff, students or patients.
• Manage resources within the area.
