Job Description:

Are you a Paediatric Nurse in the Merseyside area looking for some flexibility? Pulse Nursing are looking for Paediatric Nurses to make a real difference to patients in Merseyside. You will be required to support the ward by providing a high standard of care for each individual child, support their families and assess their care needs.

With a range of shifts available including long days, earlies, lates, nights and twilights, the rates for Paediatric Nurses in this area vary between £19.39 – £38.41.

Paediatric Nurse responsibilities includes:

  • Assess, evaluate, implement and review patients, ranging from 0-18 years old.
  • Administering medications, drawing blood, and giving childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelines.
  • Receiving handovers from staff and being given a caseload of patients.
  • Encourage families to be involved in the care of their child.
  • Using your skills to give high levels of care, whilst learning new skills.
  • Contribute to maintaining the ward environment ensuring it is safe, clean and tidy.

Paediatric Nurse Role Requirements:

  • Valid NMC registration
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a Paediatric setting
  • To meet the compliance requirements of both the NHS and private sector
  • Right to work within the UK – proof will be required
