Paediatric Neonate and Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist

Join to apply for the Paediatric Neonate and Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist role at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced therapist wishing to expand skills in paediatric dysphagia and neonatal care. If you are self-motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic, come and join our Children’s Therapy Team in Northern Lincolnshire.

In this role, you will co-lead a team of dysphagia-trained Speech and Language Therapists and lead our neonatal in-reach provision. Your clinical duties will include providing expert advice, second opinions, interventions, and management for a complex caseload involving dysphagia and neonates.

Candidates should have experience in paediatric dysphagia and neonates, meeting RCSLT competencies. Experience in team leadership is desirable; full supervision will be provided. This position can be offered as a standalone role or combined with the 0.5 WTE Band 7 Neonate vacancy at Hull Royal Infirmary.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead daily clinical delivery for neonates and share responsibility for the dysphagia caseload.
  2. Provide expert clinical management in children’s therapy related to dysphagia and neonates.
  3. Manage own caseload and oversee the supervision, education, and assessment of students, assistants, and junior therapists. Offer specialised advice to other professionals in this clinical area.
  4. Undertake evidence-based audits and research projects to enhance clinical practice.
