Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health Play Specialist to support babies, children and young people across the Paediatric Department. The post involves independent work, multidisciplinary collaboration and leading therapeutic play interventions to reduce anxiety and support families.

The role requires a Foundation Degree in Health Play Specialism (or equivalent) and active registration in line with national standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with babies, children and young people.
• BTEC or Equivalent in Hospital Play.
• Registration with SoHPS is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide developmental, therapeutic and play interventions for children and young people.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate age-appropriate play programmes.
• Advocate for therapeutic play within the multidisciplinary team.
