A prominent healthcare provider is looking for an experienced nurse practitioner in Brighton. The role involves assessing and treating children in the Emergency Department, with opportunities for professional growth. Candidates must hold UK NMC registration and have relevant urgent care experience. This full-time position offers flexibility and a pathway from Band 6 to Band 7 as skills develop.
Job summary: An experienced nurse practitioner is sought for the Children's Emergency Department at the Royal Alexandra Childrens Hospital. The role is suited to someone with urgent/emergency care experience, particularly in paediatrics, to join a dedicated team of Paediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioners.
The role is a full-time contract designed to develop your skills and knowledge in the management of injured children and to support progression toward autonomous paediatric practice. The position may start at Band 6 with a pathway to Band 7 as skills and practice are established. Applications are welcome from those currently working toward a practitioner role with appropriate paediatric acute experience and minor injury/illness expertise.
We welcome applications from those who currently hold UK NMC registration. We are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses requiring sponsorship.

Role Summary
Where appropriate, work within the CED team on professional nursing issues and clinical governance. Participate in educational and training programmes for junior staff, including doctors. Support Matron and senior staff to deliver high quality, patient-focused care in the Childrens Emergency Department. The post holder will work flexibly to achieve key responsibilities.
