Overview

Paediatric ED Senior Sister/Charge Nurse (Band 7) – 2 Permanent Posts. Are you an ED band 7 looking for a new challenge or a band 6 wanting to take the next step in your career? We are growing our team at a brand new Children’s Emergency Department, which sees about 30,000 children per year.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team and support the Paediatric Matron in providing excellent care to the Croydon community.
  • Work within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment requiring sound clinical knowledge, excellent communication, and leadership skills.
  • Engage in service improvement projects, redesign, recruitment, and department audits.
  • Attend a wide range of courses to develop clinical and leadership skills.
About the department

We operate a purpose-built Children’s Emergency Department with two resuscitation bays, a high dependency area, an outside play area, a multi-sensory treatment room and an adolescent area. The department is supported by a dedicated ED Practice Educator and a well-established team of ED nurses.
