Job summary

HCRG Care Group is recruiting a Band 6 Dietitian to join our Essex Community Dietetic Team. The role focuses on paediatric services for children and families, delivering in-clinic, virtual, and telephone support.

You will work under the Paediatric Lead Dietitian and contribute to service development and training. You will provide specialist assessments and intervention, manage a caseload, and collaborate with GPs and the 0-19 Family Wellbeing Team.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent).
• At least one year's post-qualification clinical experience, including paediatric services.
• Strong clinical competence in paediatric dietetics, including assessment and counselling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
• Experience delivering virtual consultations.
• Experience contributing to audit, service development or quality improvement.
• Experience developing patient resources or delivering training to healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop paediatric services with the Paediatric Lead Dietitian and the wider Community Dietetic Team.
• Manage a specialist paediatric caseload delivering assessments and ongoing support via community clinics, virtual appointments, telephone consultations and email advice.
• Provide expert clinical support with evidence-based treatment plans to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Collaborate with GPs and the 0-19 Family Wellbeing Team for joined-up care across the community.
• Receive clinical supervision and participate in continuing professional development through the Learning Enterprise team.
