Job summary

Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 dietitian to join the children's community dietetics team. The post covers children from birth to 19 years, including long-term enteral feeding cases, feeding difficulties and faltering growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified dietitian
• Experience of delivering children's dietetics, and/or Band 6 experience
• HCPC registration
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of enterally fed children in clinics, schools, homes, by phone, virtually or face to face
• Support continuity of care across settings including respite and foster care
• Assess and manage children with feeding difficulties and nutritional issues
• Manage food intolerances such as cows milk protein allergy (CMPA)
• Support children with faltering growth and fussy eating
• Work with children aged 0 to 19 and their families and carers
• Work with children referred from primary care and child health colleagues
• Attend community clinics and joint clinics with paediatricians
• Liaise with social services, education, safeguarding and other healthcare professionals
• Support the delivery of an effective, responsive and caring service within the team
