Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust in Herefordshire is offering a development role for a dietitian at Band 5 or 6, with a view to progression to a Band 7 paediatric dietitian. You will join a supportive team of dietitians and dietetic assistants, providing care for children in inpatient, outpatient and group settings.

You will work within the paediatric multidisciplinary team, liaising with related services to develop your skills and competencies, while delivering high-quality family-centred care.

Summary for Band 5/6 development role: a development role ideal for a dietitian looking to build upon their dietetic skills and knowledge within the specialty of paediatrics, with the aim to progress to a specialist role following achievement of agreed competencies. To gain the skills and knowledge required to provide dietetic consultation + education to paediatric patients and their families and to work independently. Liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team and associated services.

We are looking to recruit a driven and enthusiastic dietitian, as a band 5 or 6 depending on skills and experience in this development role. The successful candidate will be supported in developing to a band 7 paediatric dietitian. You will join a supportive team of dietitians and dietetic assistants and become a key member of the paediatric multidisciplinary team providing care for children in both inpatient, outpatient and group settings.
