Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist to lead and develop the Integrated Community Children’s Nursing Service. The role involves autonomous practice, caseload management, and applying specialist knowledge to care for children with complex conditions in hospital and community settings.

You will provide specialist nursing leadership, contribute to governance through evidence-based practice, and support health improvement initiatives within the network.

Qualifications

• Registered Sick Children’s Nurse with NMC registration.
• Degree-level qualification or working towards it.
• Post-graduate expertise in the specialty to lead safety and practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and delegate caseload within the multi-disciplinary team.
• Utilise research and evidence-based practice to inform service development.
• Provide specialist nursing advice to managed clinical networks.
• Contribute to Health Improvement activities in the specialty.
