Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking a Paediatric Continence Nurse Advisor to join our specialist team, delivering expert continence care for children and young people across cross-site locations including Sandwell Health Campus, Glebefields Health Centre and Rowley Regis Health Campus.

You will lead nurse-led clinics, perform bladder scanning, assess needs, provide education, and work within an MDT to improve health outcomes and independence in young patients.

Qualifications

• Registered paediatric nurse with relevant paediatric experience.
• Experience caring for children with continence needs and complex health.
• Ability to support students and work in a nurse-led service.

Responsibilities

• Undertake independent Nurse-Led Clinics with high-quality assessment and follow-up.
• Conduct initial assessments to identify clinical needs and plan management.
• Triage referrals by urgency and service criteria.
• Perform bladder scanning and interpret results for decisions.
• Review and manage caseloads within a MDT framework.
• Assess continence needs and arrange appropriate prescriptions.
• Provide specialist education and support to patients, carers, and staff.
• Support Clinical Lead and deputise when required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development.
