Job summary

Libertatem Healthcare Group is seeking compassionate Paediatric Care Assistants to support a newborn with complex needs in Halifax. The role covers 10pm–8am waking night shifts, seven nights a week, with pay £16.02–£16.78 per hour depending on shift.

You will provide personal care and assist with clinical tasks such as tracheostomy ventilation, PEG feeding and oxygen when required, aiming to promote comfort and positive interaction for the child and family.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex care needs.
• Desirable experience: Enteral feeding, Tracheostomy, Ventilation, Oxygen therapy and Medication Administration.

Paediatric Complex Care Assistant

Location: Sidle, Halifax

Pay: Weekday nights £16.02, Saturday & Sunday £16.78

Shifts:10pm-8am waking night shifts, 7 nights per week.

We’re looking for compassionate and skilled Paediatric Care Assistants to join our new client in Halifax, supporting with a range of complex health needs.

Our client is a 5-month old baby boy who will be being discharged from the hospital with a community team to support his parents during the night on waking night shifts. There may be additional day shifts available in the near-future. He is trache-vented 24/7 and tube fed and may occasionally require oxygen. He enjoys age appropriate play and we are keen to recruit support workers with a strong paediatric background. Experience with young babies/neonatal or tracheostomy and PEG with young children would be highly advantageous.
