Job summary

Leaders In Care seeks a Paediatric Clinical Lead to oversee complex paediatric care across Bristol, Cheltenham and Swindon. You will lead high-quality care, mentor teams and drive clinical excellence within a multidisciplinary environment.

The role is genuinely hybrid with one to two days from home each week, requiring a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally. You will influence standards and outcomes for children and their families.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration and paediatric experience.
• Experience managing complex paediatric care packages (e.g., tracheostomy, ventilation, spinal injuries, neurological conditions).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Bristol, Cheltenham and Swindon.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex paediatric care packages, including assessments, care planning, reviews, and risk assessments.
• Provide clinical leadership through supervision, competency assessments, mentorship, and ongoing support for nurses and care teams.
• Drive clinical governance with medication audits, spot checks, investigations, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary professionals, delivering specialist clinical training and emergency support when required.

Package & Benefits

• Salary of £48,000 to £50,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Paediatric Clinical Lead, lead and oversee complex paediatric care packages, including comprehensive assessments, care planning, clinical reviews, and risk assessments.
• Provide clinical leadership through supervision, competency assessments, mentorship, and ongoing support for Registered Nurses and care teams.
• Drive clinical governance by completing medication audits, spot checks, investigations, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standards of care.
• Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary professionals while delivering specialist clinical training and providing emergency clinical support when required.

About You

• Registered Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration and experience suitable for a Paediatric Clinical Lead role.
• Minimum two years' experience managing complex care packages, including tracheostomy, ventilation, spinal injuries, neurological conditions, or acquired brain injuries.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Bristol, Cheltenham and Swindon.
