Job summary

Care First 24 is recruiting a Paediatric Clinical Lead to support our expanding paediatric complex care services in the community in South Wales. You will lead the nursing team, deliver high-quality, child-centered care, and work closely with our in-house clinical team.

The role requires a valid nursing license and a minimum of 3 years in paediatric nursing, with Monday–Friday shifts and a commitment to safety and excellence in care.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license and at least 3 years of paediatric nursing experience.
• Full-time role based in South Wales with weekday shifts.
• Strong clinical leadership and patient-centred care skills.

Responsibilities

• Act in a professional manner and adhere to the NMC code.
• Support the registered manager in providing leadership to the care and support staff.
• Oversee staffing to match complex care service user needs.
• Deliver a professional and safe service, focusing on patient safety and risk management.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and care staff.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Contribute to a regional or local on-call rota and cover for colleagues.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Above all, we’re on the hunt for a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Clinical Lead to join our growing team,. You will be supported by our in-house Clinical team who are experienced in delivering solid care for our children requiring complex care and their families.

Shifts

Monday to Friday flexibility is required

Responsibilities:

• Act in a professional manner and adhere to the NMC code.

• To deliver a professional and safe service & Patient Safety and Risk Management.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing and care staff
• Conduct assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for patients
• To contribute to a regional or local on-call rota and cover for colleagues
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Skills:

• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in paediatric nursing
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Proficiency in medication administration
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

This position requires a valid nursing license and a minimum of 3 years of experience in paediatric nursing.

Valid driving licence and own transport required
